New Millwall signing out for up to ten days with knee injury

LEE Martin will be sidelined for up to ten days after picking up a knee problem against Crawley Town last Saturday, boss Steve Lomas has revealed.

But the injury is not a serious one and Lomas also hopes left-back Shane Lowry will be able to resume full training shortly following a thigh strain.

He said: "Lee tweaked his knee against Crawley so he will maybe be out for ten days. Little things like that we could do without, but we've just got to get on with it and protect the boys that we have.

"Shane's been back doing a bit of running in the last couple of days. We have to make sure he doesn't force it and pick up another injury."

Striker Dany N'Guessan missed Tuesday's friendly loss at Brentford after returning to Paris for the birth of his child.

Has this got anything to do with our physo, thats all we seemed to have last season was slight twinge then the next thing you know there our for 6 to 8 weeks after undergoing treatment within the club.
Surley we can start with a full deck this year other than Trotter.

Get rid of one and another follows.
Don't look great tbh and may be the real reason why he's only on a yrs contract, I seem to remember quite a few asking why that was well, coincidence ? Yes, good business on our part ? I believe and more than hope so.
Shame though I've heard really good things about him. Lets hope he's match fit and raring to go come Yeovil first game.
Unlucky lee get fit ASAP mate.

OMG some of the comments on this thread are unbelievable. Lee Martin gets a slight knee injury and suddenly people are writing him off as a 'sick note'.
He played 37 games for Ipswich last season and made 41 appearances in 2011-2012!!!! Far from being a 'sick note' I'd say it sounds like he's a resilient, highly versatile player who can be depended on when other players are in the treatment room.

@Lonz: only it's a little hard to do that when he's in the treatment room himself

Look, this is all b*******. Don't care about the nonsense just 3 points on the opening day, at home in front of a large passionate crowd & hopefully with an unbiased referee (now that'd be a first). Don't feel confident though for some reason.

As much as losing 3 Zip to a lower league side is not ideal we really need to put it into context, Man Utd lost 1-0 to an Asian side, Arsenal won 7-0, Notts County almost beat Galatasaray with Drogba, Sneijder etc playing, its basically a warm up.

Fear not peeps, all will be well on August 3rd.
Rumours about ins and outs should be taken as tabloid fodder and nothing more.
At the moment, Bailey hasn't signed for Burnley, McDonald is not having a fitness test tonight at Millwall nor is Martin Deadwood going to get a contract BUT there are new players coming in, and contrary to popular belief the budget HAS NOT been blown.

so who is the next signing surely we should go for shorey f*** bailey hes had long enough to decide. Dunney needs competition at rb we nd a maurauding cm who can compliment chaplow or turn a match with one pass. I think we need another forward to challenge morison, keogh and easter. Personally we should have gone for cody mcdonald but now go for donaldson at brentford. If bailey comes all well and good but i doubt it. get adam smith back. coyl i think a top 6 finish is feasible, look at the nigels we finished above them 2 seasons ago.

Good that the club are allowing Dany N'Guessan time off for the birth of his child. The first years are a important time in a childs life so I think we should give him all the time he needs. Maybe up to the childs 18th ??
