Millwall poised to open contract talks with Wright and Taylor

MILLWALL boss Kenny Jackett has confirmed his intention to offer midfielder Josh Wright and keeper Maik Taylor new contracts.

Wright will become a free agent in the summer having only signed a three-month extension on his short-term deal with the Lions back in January.

Loanee Taylor, meanwhile, is out of contract at his parent club Leeds United, whose manager Neil Warnock has already confirmed the 40-year-old is free to leave.

"We will be talking to them," Jackett told the club's official site.

"I've been very pleased with their contribution in the second half of the season and that's an obvious thing to say, because I've been picking them.

"We do want to plan for next year so we're getting on with those things. A lot of big clubs will be coming into the division and it will be a big challenge for Millwall."
