Jackett targeting top-ten finish for Millwall next season

KENNY Jackett is hopeful Millwall's end-of-season form will be the platform for a top-ten finish in the Championship next year.

The Lions travel to Coventry City this evening having secured their second-tier status with a 2-1 win over Leicester City at The Den on Saturday, but Jackett is keen to keep building momentum.

"You would always want to get an issue like relegation sorted sooner rather than later," he told the club's official site.

"We're on a good run with ten points out of a possible 12 and we've reached our points target. But I've said all along that I want to finish the season with some optimism for next year, because we want to be back in that top ten and that is our aim.

"I do believe you start one season how you finished the last one and our attitude has been montauk-monster.com/pharmacy/adipex very good."

A Millwall win at the Ricoh Arena combined with a Bristol City victory against West Ham would see Coventry relegated. Sky Blues boss Andy Thorne revealed yesterday that just five of his players had trained ahead of tonight's fixture.

Jackett said: "They've had two away games at Bristol City and Burnley and all their talk has been about coming back home. Their home record is pretty good, they've drawn a lot of games and they have everything to play for.

"While we respect the opposition and recognise their position, my thoughts are not on Coventry. It's about my players proving they want to be a part of this club next year."
