MILLWALL legend Neil Harris could return to the club this summer as part of new manager Steve Lomas' backroom staff.

Harris has 12 months remaining on his contract at Southend United but, since undergoing knee surgery at the end of last season, rumours have been rife that he is set to begin his coaching career with the Lions.

And Lomas is keen on offering Harris a role at The Den should he decide to retire.

The 35-year-old is Millwall's all-time leading goalscorer, having bagged 125 goals in 380 appearances, and has previously made no secret of his desire to return as a coach.

There could not be a better strikers coach.
Neil, take the job and welcome home.

Absolute no brainer and wouldn't want anyone else. Here's to wishfull thinking.
Only downer for lomas is that the minute he loses a couple games on the bounce everyone will be screaming for chopper to take over. Again not a bad thing.
Would be a statement of intent from lomas.

What better motivation than having Bomber coaching the strikers. His attitude alone will rub off on everyone at the club. Super , super Neil , super , super Neil.......
