Report: Millwall 2-0 Hull

HARRY Kane and Andy Keogh scored a goal a piece as Millwall paid the perfect tribute to Barry Kitchener with a hard-fought win over Hull City.

The Lions hosted a memorial service before kick-off following the untimely death of Kitchener last month, and a battling victory against the Tigers was a fitting send-off to a Den legend.

Kenny Jackett's side took the lead when James Henry's 25th-minute corner was met by Kane, who headed home his seventh goal of the season.

And Millwall sealed their first home win in eight when Keogh scored from the penalty spot after being felled in the area by Liam Cooper in the 81st minute.

The win moved the Lions five points clear of the Championship relegation zone with a trip to fellow strugglers Portsmouth looming on Tuesday.

Millwall: Taylor, Smith, Robinson, Lowry, Craig, Henry, Abdou, Wright, Bouazza (Feeney, 53mins), Kane, Keogh (Batt, 90mins).

Hull: Mannone, Rosenior (King, 69mins), Bradley, Cooper, Dawson, Stewart (Fryatt, 46mins), Cairney, Evans, McKenna, Garcia, Mclean (Brady, 75mins).
